As palavras têm poder e cabe a cada uma das partes, e do terceiro facilitador, escolher a moldura, o framing, de como vai ser expressada verbalmente determinada idéia. Entender de sintaxe é sem dúvida uma vantagem para o conciliador, assim como a semântica e a pragmática.
Pesquisas apontam que 93% de toda comunicação é não verbal, sendo 55%: expressão facial, postura, gesto; e, 38%, voz, entonação, movimentos com as mãos, pés, com o corpo em geral; sendo que até mesmo movimentos com os olhos e vestimenta influenciam sobremaneira na comunicação das pessoas.
